Winds Aloft was a quarterly newsletter of the 511 Parachute Infantry Regiment Association. It was published from 1987 to 2010, 109 issues. Most stories were written by 511PIR troopers, forty or more years after World War 2.

    The 511 was part of the 11th Airborne Division in WW2, They fought in the Pacific theater.
